Former principal’s murder: Accused’s bail application postponed

The formal bail application of the three men accused of the murder of former Southlands Secondary School principal, Gona Pillay, and the attempted murder of her husband, Loga, was postponed to today due to the court closing because of inclement weather conditions experienced yesterday.

Intern estate agent of Pam Golding Properties, Basil Underhill (24), his cousin, Braveman Underhill (23) and Fred Boy Msomi (30) were remanded in police custody and will be held in the Chatsworth SAPS holding cells until their bail application today.

Inclement weather conditions put a dampener on the spirits of placard demonstrators as only a few turned up for yesterday’s court appearance.

Pillay succumbed to her injuries after she was stabbed multiple times, while her husband, Loga, survived the brutal attack, last month.
