Meadford Sporting to represent Chatsworth at KZN Regional Engen Cup Finals

Seen at the draw and media launch are Pravesh Gareeb (chairman) and captain of the under 19 team, Jaydon Govender.

Meadford Sporting’s under 19 team will be representing Chatsworth at the KZN Regional Engen Cup Finals to be held from July 14 to July 16, 2017.

They were the winners of the Chatsworth lag unbeaten and proceeded to the qualifying rounds held at Siripat Road Grounds in Reservoir Hills. Here too, they were successful and will now be carrying the flag high for Chatsworth.

Chairman, Pravesh Gareeb said that he was extremely proud of the youngsters especially with six of them being only 16-years-old. According to Gareeb, their development structure and plans are well on track.

“Right now after three games each, our under 13, under 15 and under 17 divisions remain unbeaten in their respective leagues which only bodes well for the future of the club. We are looking forward to the Engen tournament because in this leg, we are joined by the likes of Amazulu, Golden Arrows, Maritzburg and Durban City, leave aside all the academy teams who are looking to impress the scouts and professional teams present.
