An explosion of colour and ‘craziness’ at annual fun walk

Child Welfare Durban and Districts in association with Morris Fuller Williams hosted yet another resoundingly successful Crazy Hats Fun Walk in Durban, over the weekend.

Prior to the fundraising initiative, organisers guaranteed attendees an explosion of colour, spectacular moments and lots of smiles and they certainly did deliver on this promise. Organisers went beyond the call of duty once again to ensure that the event was a ‘crazy’ success.

The public along with various business and organisations came out in their numbers to support the exciting initiative, which has signified unity and colour since its inception.

In an interview with the members of Child Welfare Durban and Districts, they said that they remain eternally grateful to everyone who heeded the call of social commitment on Saturday.

“This event is so near and dear to our hearts at Child Welfare Durban and Districts and we are thankful for all the support we received on the day of the event and also prior to this. The annual walk is a delightful and colourful event and attendees were treated to a fun-filled day, no doubt. They wore a crazy hat and definitely showed their solidarity and for that, we are very grateful,” they said in unison.

The walk commenced at the North Beach Amphitheatre and headed towards Suncoast and then back to the beach. Stallholders were also present and lots of entertainment for little ones was also provided in an effort to make the day even more memorable. Special prizes for the top three most creative hats were also given out along with lucky draw prizes too.

The main aim of Child Welfare Durban and Districts is to give childhood back to children and with a number of charitable and fundraising causes, it is evident that the organisation is doing just that.
