Ecology Summit for grade seven pupils

Pupils of Cavendish Primary School are looking forward to the summit.

Grade seven pupils pupils can look forward to an exciting Ecology Summit to be hosted by the Food for Life Children’s Projects in partnership with other environmental societies during the month of August.

Peace education is defined as the process of learning in order to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes in which to live in harmony with oneself, with others and with the natural environment.

In order to give some understanding on how one can live in harmony with the natural world, Food for Life Children’s Projects will be partnering with various prominent environmental organisations to host an Ecology Summit for primary schools.

The various organisations and esteemed environmentalists will give practical presentations on the ‘hands on’ work that they are engaged in through their various programmes. Schools will be able to adopt and replicate models from these presentations which could be implemented at a practical level at the schools.

The pupils will also receive information on careers in environmental sciences and nature conservation. Food security and sustainable agriculture will also form part of the programme. For more information, email [email protected]
