Pupils enlightened during Peace and Unity conference

Pupils together with staff members enjoyed the educational conference.

The pupils of the Glen Heights Primary School were pleasantly surprised by a visit from the Food for Life Children’s Projects, recently. The school participated in Food for Life’s recent conference on Peace and Unity, held at the Woodhurst Multicultural Centre.

The visit was part of the organisation’s Peace Education Initiative. There was an assembly programme and the children read out various quotes on peace and unity by great personalities such as Nelson Mandela and Mother Teresa.

The pupils were also presented with environmental journals with useful information to assist them in various assignments and projects. Principal of the School, Mr P Pillay indicated that they appreciated the support from FFL and looked forward to further interaction. The pupils were also provided with various treats.
