Deputy mayor calls for community to work with police

The Isipingo CPF came together to host its AGM at the Isipingo Beach Intermediate School, recently.  Among the dignitaries who attended the meeting was deputy mayor, Fawzia Peer who addressed the community on the high rate of crime in the Isipingo area.

She provided community members with strategies that can be implemented to prevent crime from escalating in area. She explained that if residents work closely with police, they can eliminate crime and create a better society for all individuals to live in. “Leaders should serve their community rather than to serve themselves and if we all work together as a community, we can accomplish our goals,” she said.

The newly elected committee members are chairman, Aidan David, deputy chairman, Naresh Premchand, treasurer, Cassim Suliman Arbee, secretary, Donald Naidoo, deputy secretary, Vee Yessudas, public relations officer, Junaid Iqbal and three added members, Mondli Ngidi, Yaseen Khan and Denzil Reddy. The interim committee would like to thank all those who are involved in the fight against crime in Isipingo.
