Youth educated at recent awareness programme

The youth listen as Wentworth SAPS officer, W/O B Reddi speaks.

Over 100 youth from Wentworth and surrounding areas were addressed on pertinent issues at an awareness programme conducted by Wentworth SAPS Social Crime Prevention Unit members, W/O B Reddi and Cpt MP Gumede at St Gabriel’s Church, last Wednesday.

The children were educated on crime awareness, dangers of drugs, children’s rights and bullying. “The programme was a great success as many issues which affect the community and the children were addressed. They were able to interact and asked questions. They are also aware of their rights and that they can contact the SAPS when they are in need of help,” said Wentworth SAPS communications officer, Cpt MP Gumede.
