A ‘wave’ of accomplishments for young swimmer

Norisha Reddy proudly displays her awards.

Nine-year-old Norisha Reddy has obtained a ‘wave’ of accomplishments since she began her swimming career three years ago.

The Dawnridge Primary School pupil dove straight into swimming as form of relief for her asthma. She soon became very enthusiastic and passionate about swimming.

The Croftdene Swimming Club member became registered with KwaZulu-Natal Aquatics and participated in the Midmar Mile and completed the race in 47 minutes as well.  The youngster became their first swimmer from the club to qualify for level two, winning three gold medals, a silver medal and a bronze medal.

Her mother, Chantal Reddy said that her daughter represented her school in the 2017 Swimming CADSSA event also.  “Norisha received five first place medals at the competition, which we are very proud of.  Aside from this, she once again stood proud after receiving the 2016/2017 Swimmer of the Year award at the Croftdene Swimming Club’s annual swimming gala.” The young lass has thanks her dedicated and supportive coaches and her parents who have always assisted her along the way.
