Annual fair returns to Merebank

Performers are looking forward to the event.

Merebank will be a hive of activity, fun and entertainment this weekend as the annual St Mary’s Merebank Fair is set to take place at the St Mary’s School, from March 17 to 19.

This year’s fair promises an assortment of exciting performances, a variety of food and recreational stalls and a chance to socialise with fellow community members from the neighbourhood.

The St Mary’s Merebank Fair 2017 is one of the most anticipated events on the social calendar. This exhilarating event is set to take place from March 17 to 19 with a feast of electrifying entertainment and atmosphere.

Get ready to brace yourselves as this spectacular weekend promises to be fun-filled with lots of fun games and entertainment, and you certainly can stand in line to win a trip to India, courtesy of One Stop Travel.

Be sure to catch the Edu-Fair on Friday with Megan Govender, Sherwin Govender, DJ Dino D and Pops Rampersadh. Children who are 12-years-old and younger enter free on Sunday, March 19, between 12 pm and 1pm only and thereafter it will be the normal price.

There is an exciting line up for children with Checksave Supermarket kiddies hamper giveaways. The fair is expected to attract the diversity of cultures with people flocking in to a brand new choreography of entertainment.

There will be a variety of flea market and food stalls available with sumptuous meals to tantalize your taste buds. The 2017 Entertainment Programme has been specifically designed to cater for all tastes and preferences from toddlers to youth, adults and senior citizens.

Featuring on the programme will be Amman’s Vibrations (Keeping up with Kandasamy), Rhythemic Entertainers (SA’s TMS), Bollywood Show Band,  Raiders Band (Rewinding 60’s, 70’s & 80’s), Logasen Moodley Dance Company (Show Stoppers) and more.
