IFFSKSA hosts 32nd annual awards banquet

Dedicated members of the sporting organisation.

The International Federation of Funakoshi Shotokan Karate South Africa (IFFSKSA) hosted its 32nd Annual Awards Banquet, recently.

Over 500 guests enjoyed the evening and were enthralled with the achievements of the federation. The dynamic leader Kyoshi Eric Govender who is a 7th dan, founder, president and chief instructor of the IFFSKSA expressed his gratitude to parents for supporting and motivating their children to achieve these great accolades.

Apart from the club awards, the highlights of the evening included presentations to many karatekas who received their black belt and dan grading, KZN provincial and Protea colours and also for the participation in the FSKA World Championship which was held in Mubai India.

The function built up to an exciting climax with the announcement of Warren Pillay as the Male Sports Star of the Year, Lauren Munsami as the Sports Start of the Year in the Female Category, Leah Govender as the Most Improved Student in the female category and Rafe Moodley, the Most Improved Student in the male category.
