R600, 000 worth of stolen clothing recovered

The sterling work of Bayview detective, Shadrack Govender and station commander, Col Balram, led to the recovery of about R600, 000 worth of stolen goods in Bloemfontein, on Thursday.

Two foreign nationals have since been arrested and bail was opposed at the Chatsworth Magistrate’s Court, on Monday. According to reports at the Bayview SAPS, the clothing was stolen from a warehouse in Havenside Drive on December 30, at about 2am.

After working tirelessly on the case for about a week, the two suspects were arrested. The clothing was recovered in Bloemfontein.

Station commander of the Bayview SAPS, Col Balram, said both foreign nationals are out on bail for the theft of trucks. “We commend the work of everyone involved in the successful apprehension of the suspects,” added Col Balram.
