Pensioner brutally murdered in Orient Park

The pensioner, who was murdered.

The community of Orient Park and Isipingo have been thrust into mourning following the gruesome murder of a local stalwart and former Home Affairs employee.

Unconfirmed reports have alleged that Mr Nad Nayager suffered a gruesome attack and was possibly strangled and left with his hands bound with a cellphone charger. It is further alleged via unconfirmed information that a pillow had been placed over the pensioner’s face.

Since the heinous murder of the Orient Park resident, local security company, Alpha Alarms has stepped up patrols in the area since the suspect/s is still at large and the safety and security of the bereaved family and community has been breached.

The violent and fatal crime has spotlighted the need for a greater security presence and Team Alpha is in the area to ensure that calm and peace prevails as police hunt for the suspect/s. Alpha Alarms sympathises with the grieving family on the loss of a well-respected resident, Mr Nad Nayager. It is indeed a dark period for the community.

Meanwhile, provincial police spokesman, Major Thulani Zwane said, “We can confirm that the incident that took place yesterday, January 13, 2016 at Orient Drive, Isipingo, where a 65-year-old man was found dead inside his residence. His hands were tied and had multiple injuries on his body. The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage. A case of murder was opened at Isipingo police station for investigation and no arrests have been made.”
