Grade seven pupils from 25 different schools gathered at the Woodhurst Multicultural Centre for the Technology Education Workshop, organised by Classroom Engineering 4Kids.
The workshop focused on integrative learning in technology concepts and career orientation.
Various engineering prototype models were demonstrated to the children.

Organiser of the event, Divesh Maharaj indicated that Classroom Engineering 4Kids is a new initiative that is being developed to support children from marginalised and disadvantaged backgrounds to develop their skills and training in engineering and technology.
The next follow-up programme will be on a Saturday morning and will focus on electronic circuit design techniques.
