An ‘Exercise in the Park’ session was held for members of DAFTA’s Durban South Service Centre (DSSC), situated at 43 Juggernaut Road, Merebank, recently.
The importance of a healthy diet and keeping fit were highlighted to the group of seniors as part of their active-ageing programme.
They were then led in the various exercise routines by the DSSC sports co-ordinators, Krish and Suresh who participate annually in the Golden Games Sporting Events for senior citizens.
Most of the seniors came attired in their exercise gear and had great fun and did not want to end the exercise programme.
It was an enjoyable morning for all and these routines are being held on a weekly basis.
Seniors, 60-years and-older, are invited to join in the fun and activities and become Members of the Durban South Service Centre.
