A doctor and her child have been left traumatized after they were hijacked outside a relative’s house in Junargath Road on Thursday morning.
According to the victim, who spoke on condition of anonymity, she was on her way to her mother-in-law’s house in Merebank when she was approached by three unknown men with firearms who ordered her out of the vehicle.
“I was outside my mother-in-law’s house at about 6am. While stationary outside her house, I could hear her domestic worker screaming and shouting in my direction. At that moment, three armed men appeared right next to me and ordered me out of my car. I immediately turned around and grabbed my daughter, who was in the back seat and ran towards the house. As soon as I entered the house, I handed my little daughter to my mother-in-law and called the police,” she said.
