“Many of our players come from impoverished backgrounds and reside at informal settlements. Despite this, they have not let this deter them from shining on the football field. They have a ‘never give up’ attitude and that is truly admirable. I thank them for their dedication and for always showing up to training sessions on time. At the same time, I also wish to extend my thanks to the team of Crossmoor Crusaders. They played a good game of soccer and we commend them for also promoting sport in their respective community,” he said.

Special thanks were also afforded to Bradley Vadivel and Rivashan Naidoo for their sterling effort throughout the season as coach and manager respectively.

Munsamy added, “We encourage youngsters with a passion for sport to get involved. In a community that is plagued by social ills daily, what better way to stay focused and busy than by taking part in various codes of sport? We look forward to our next match and wish our players everything of the best.”
