Wentworth clinic puts health care first

The day was enjoyed by all.

The Wentworth Hospital Gateway Clinic Outreach team, in partnership with Inner City Ministries and Thabitha Community Care Services held a health and wellness open day at Alabama Park, recently.

Among the many services that were rendered were blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, cervical, HIV/Aids counselling and testing, bloods taken for prostrate cancer screening, TB screening and TB testing. Sister Roskruge said that many talks were given on abuse by the Thabitha Community Care Services.

“This health care day was done to bring the community closer and implement interaction between clinics and community members.  Residents were educated on the importance of routine health screening. I would like to thank our loyal and dedicated team as well as D&M Engineering for supporting and sponsoring our initiative,” she said.

Any churches or organisations requiring services or advice on substance abuse, can contact contact Sr Roskruge on 078-497-4344 or Nathan Wells on 072- 841-6072.
