Enlightening book fair held at Dawnridge Primary School

The excited pupils display some of the books which they purchased at the fair.

The staff, pupils and their parents of Dawnridge Primary School were treated by the ‘Book 2 U’ retail book company with an educating and entertaining book fair at the school, recently.

According to the principal, this was the first book fair in the Moorton community and the attendance was overwhelming. The books catered for age groups five to 16-years-old and catered for all types of readers.

Speaking from the Library Resource Centre background, the principal, SN Pillay firmly believes that the improvement in reading will result of improvement in all subjects and parents must show an interest in reading if they hope for their children to inculcate this practice. At the fair, the principal also thanked ‘Book 2 U’, teachers, parents and pupils of the school for supporting the initiative.
