Pupils across KZN headed back to school today but one Durban pupil turned heads by arriving in a chauffeur-driven, red-hot Ferrari, courtesy of Yuvir Maharaj of Rising Sun Exotic Car Hire.

It was a dream come true for Olwethu Zikhali (12) who received the amazing opportunity after winning Freedom Stationery’s First Fab Day Back to School competition on East Coast Radio.

The excited grade six pupil was picked up from his Phoenix home and arrived at Greenbury Primary School in impeccable style. To add to the excitement of the day, a marching band and cheerleaders escorted the youngster onto the school grounds. The child was even more thrilled when Darren Maule of ECR and Freedom Stationery’s Shiraz Hans revealed that his school fees had just been paid.

Members of the Rising Sun Exotic Car Hire said that seeing the pupil’s dream of being in a Ferrari come true was an amazing moment. They further stated that they are glad that they could assist in helping his day become a memorable and fun-filled one for Olwethu.
